Behind the glitz and fun of Kansas City’s Best Charitable Event,* Treads & Threads is a party with a purpose. It raises funds to help provide more options – and more hope – to patients battling cancer. In just 10 years, Treads & Threads sponsors and patrons have contributed nearly $5.5 million to expand, improve and support cancer patient care at The University of Kansas Cancer Center.

2012 PROCEEDS WILL HELP FIGHT LUNG CANCER
Treads & Threads 2012 proceeds will help fight lung cancer – the No. 1 cause of cancer death – by enhancing the lung cancer program at The University of Kansas Cancer Center. Proceeds will establish lung cancer screenings using low-dose CT scanning for at-risk patients at our cancer center locations. This type of screening can identify tumors in early stages when they are more easily treatable.
